Call me a hypocrite

I know, I know, yesterday I said Suave shampoo was CRAP. But guess what. I still love their body lotion.

Via FreeSamples4All I received a small bottle of Suave's new violet and sweet pea lotion and I immediately took the accompanying coupon and bought a vat of it.

Can you imagine? VIOLET AND SWEET PEA TOGETHER FOREVER! What a winning fragrance combination. It's subtle, and I love how the very common sweet pea scent is mixed with the violet for a little ooomph.

Now I'm off to try cross-breeding real-live plants so I can come up with my own delicious smells to rub on my skin.

A huge sale still doesn't take away the sting.

I love two fragrances from Bath & Body Works = Butterfly Flower and Wild Honeysuckle. They are subtle and spring-like and fantastically light.

Of course, they are being discontinued this year (with many other favorite signature scents). Thankfully, they're on sale for $4 each. AND I even bought an eau de parfum of Wild Honeysuckle for less than $7 because they're on sale for 75% off in stores.

I did manage to find a new scent that may be able to fill the void that will eventually be left when I run out of Butterfly Flower and Wild Honeysuckle. I bought a $1 sample of FORever Summer and I have to admit it's refreshing and reminds me of the beach just as the name implies it should.

Not bad for an inexpensive pick-me-up.

Pour some sugar on me

When my sister visited a couple of months ago, we went to the Newgate Mall and enjoyed the "buy 3 get 3 free" sale at Bath & Body Works. We also cashed in a coupon and got a fourth lotion for free. SWEET.

Anyway, at the time I was in love with the Wild Honeysuckle lotion. It was very light and refreshing. I have a hard time with over-powering lotions. I usually lather on unscented Suave body lotion in the mornings.

But I'm glad I gave Honeysuckle a try. I have a couple of bottles of lotion stocked up as well as a body wash. I thought I had found my new favorite flavor.




And then I found Butterfly Flower. It's one of the newest scents from B&BW and holy cow.


I kid you not, when I put this lotion on I feel like I'm laying in a field of wildflowers. It is so delicious. On my drive home from work I pass over a river and a large field. There is lots of lush vegetation and when I have the windows down, I honest-to-goodness smell the exact fragrance that has been infused into this lotion. It is amazing.

I'm sorry to say that the semi-annual sale at B&BW is probably over. So keep your eyes peeled for their next big event and snag yourself this airy, springy lotions ASAP.
