Delight in MAC

I attended a Bloggers' Night Out over the weekend and had the pleasure of getting my eye make up done by aesthetician Gentri from A La Mode salon. She exclusively uses MAC and I loved it. I've only used it myself a few times (when playing with friends' make up) but I really really loved the look Gentri did on Saturday.

I decided I need to add at least one of these shadows to my Christmas list so Kev has something to put in my stocking besides measuring cups.

Martha beat me to it!

I had a post all written up about how much I love CoverGirl's LashBlast Fusion. It was all, "hey, this is the best mascara I've ever used! I'm so glad I had a $2 off coupon! Woo!"

Then I opened up the April issue of Martha Stewart Living yesterday and it was all, "hey, this is the best mascara ever! It's only $9! Woo!"

So. Yeah. Thunder officially stolen.

If you're in the market for a new mascara, one that separates, lengthens and defines your lashes without gunk building up or leaving streaks on your cheeks, then try LashBlast Fusion. It's awesome.

Bare Minerals

I love it.

Although, I am kicking myself for not just trying the grocery-store-counterpart Fresh Minerals- which is $20 cheaper and comes with an eye collection. My girl Ashley said that's what she uses and her skin looks amazing. Note to self: always talk with Ashley about make-up before taking the plunge.

Overall, I'm really happy with my purchase. After only three days I see a difference in my skin. It's smoother. It has better color. I adore the warming powder. It brightens up my skin tone and brings the right amount of warmth to my otherwise extremely pale skin. Once I run out, I think I'll switch right over to the Fresh Minerals collection. It's available at Smith's Grocery, which is so much more convenient than driving through Riverdale traffic to visit Ulta.

Lesson learned: Bare Minerals is worth it, but its price tag is not compatible with me for the long-haul.

I'm just giving you a lot of things to read today because I love you.

Go find yourself some giveaway information on my other blog. It's worth the extra click from here to there.

Let's post half a dozen times in one freakin day!

Have I got a giveaway for YOU! I just read a friend's blog and saw how incredible her eyelash extensions turned out. I was really skeptical when I first heard about people getting these done. But good golly they look so natural and beautiful.

Steph got her lashes done by Mitzi, who has an awesome giveaway for a free set of extensions to one lucky winner! Also? Mitzi will take $10 off the process to any person who posts about the giveaway on their blog. Not bad at all.

So that's the scoop regarding the lash extensions. Good luck!

I enjoy being a girl

My sister and I both have pretty intense eye color. The difference between them is mine are always intensely blue, whereas hers lean toward blue or green on any given day.

Regardless of the inconsistency, we both use one of Almay's amazing products to highlight our eyes.

I have a lot of trouble picking out a suitable eye product. Some powder shadows are too light and just dust off during the work day. Others are too greasy and leave junk in my eye lid creases. Some products have great application but bad colors.

That's where Almay came in and saved the day. I've used this product since last Fall and I still love it. The trio of colors is developed to enhance your eye color and it actually stays. It complements my blue eyes without much fuss. Just sweep a combo of the colors on and you're good to go.

(blue, brown, green, hazel)

Since I'm so pleased with the "play up" combo, I think I'll add the "bring out" trio to my makeup stash this summer. There's nothing like fresh colors to give me a boost.
