It's finally sweater weather!
For a while there, I didn't know what to wear because it would be 45 degrees in the morning and 68 degrees in the afternoon. Have you ever tried getting a two-year-old to wear a sweater? For whatever reason, MINE WON'T. I have to bribe her. She's only too happy to take it off in the warmer weather.
But now it's more consistently chilly and even if Aspen won't wear a sweater, I CAN.

Perfect for the upcoming Holiday.
I know the 50% off outer wear promo has ended at Old Navy, but don't let that stop you from getting a little something that you need right now from Old Navy, GAP, Banana Republic, Piperlime or Athleta!
I have a 30% off coupon to offer you because I'm nice like that.
Use it in stores AS MANY TIMES AS YOU WANT and thank me later.
Boo-yah.

Delight in Banana Republic
I'm spoiled because there is a BP outlet where I grew up. I didn't shop there much in high school (even though I worked next door at GAP and got a discount) but now I am a big fan. It's just so grown-up. So when I need to pretend I am a professional, I get inspiration from BP.
Today I am loving this sheath dress:

I love the look with heels, or even tall boots. Either way, it works. I would probably use a skinny belt to polish the look off- place it at the smallest point of the waist and voila. Extra-slimming. Check out the dresses featured currently at BP for varying body types. It'll give you great ideas of what you should look for depending on your shape.
My only qualm-- all the dresses are modeled by girls of identical shape. Seriously? Why not show a real representative of that body type?

Why pay more when you can pay less?
There's a Banana Republic outlet in my hometown of Freeport. That's usually the only time I shop BP. If you haven't noticed, it's fairly expensive. Good quality (usually) but expensive.
When I visit Freeport I always stop by the BP outlet for a fragrance or clearance-priced skirt. There's an outlet in Park City that I hope to check out soon too.
I got an email from BP and decided to browse their site. I found this beautiful bib necklace and although I didn't find an exact match at Forever21, I found a few less expensive necklaces that I think are comparable in effect.
Banana Republic Glam bib necklace $69

Forever21 Round cluster beads $8.80

Forever21 Antique beaded necklace $5.80

Forever21 Triple strand leaf necklace $10.80

It just goes to show that with a little time, you can easily find alternatives to items you initially fall for in higher-end stores.
I promise.
