East coast represent (Volume III)

I'm homesick something fierce these days. Part of me wants to hang out on my mom's back deck and with nothing to do except read and watch her dog freak out about squirrels.

The collection of sea findings on this ring immediately made me think of Maine and spending time at Winslow Park, watching kids jump off the dock and kayakers float around the rocky coastline.

Star of the East etsy shop has loads of items that make me miss home. I especially enjoyed browsing the rings. Definitely check it out and plan your next trip to the coast. Say hi to my mom for me.

UPcycling

Currently, my collection of rings is housed in an empty lotion jar. When I finished using it, I decided not to waste it, so I washed it out and plopped my rings in it.

That can't keep me from wishing I had something a little more stylish to display my jewelry. Which brings me to this vintage juicer.

Martha Stewart Living magazine recently did a spread on vintage juicers that coincided with my Etsy browsing spree. It added fuel to my fire.

But for now, I will be happy with my upcycled lotion jar. It does the trick just fine, even if it's not as pretty.

Birthday bling.

Picked this up for my birthday from Forever21.
I'm lucky I was able to refrain from buying three other rings in the dish.

J. Crew mini-me

Should I be the kind of mom who matches her daughter? Or is that just sad?

It's a good thing I can't afford to shop at J. Crew. Even the outlet store in Freeport is too expensive for me.

I do love this little girl's ring though. And at $15 it isn't a ridiculous expense. We'll see if my pilates buddy develops an appreciation for rings as I have over the years.

I have such a soft spot for gigantic rings.

A part of me wants to be a personal shopper. I'd love to spend someone else's money putting together outfits and gathering a collection of accessories. It's so satisfying to find great deals, but it's just a find, never a acquisition these days. I have no real need for anything, so the window-shopping is is just a way for me to overload my brain with all sorts of lovely options for the future.

On that note, let me know if I can help you find the perfect little something for the upcoming Holidays. I'm happy to find something you or someone you love might like as a Holiday gift!

New York & Company

It's been a long time since I visited NY&Co, so today I refreshed my memory of the store. I found some amazing sale-priced items that I would love to welcome into my walk-in closet.

Gem Plaque Belt $16.06

I have one black belt. And I share it with Kev. I don't know why I'm so picky about black belts, but it has prevented me from buying one for over three years. This one might just satisfy all my requirements!

Logo Buckle Tote $27.96

This would perfectly complement many of my outfits. I lean toward cool colors in my work wardrobe with a few warmer elements here and there. It's definitely time to update my purse collection seeing as how most of them are cloth and polka-dotted and showing their age.

I love shoes. Enough said.

Years ago when I was still in college I bought a ring from NY&Co that I still love. It's lost it's shape... somehow... it looks like it's been stepped on. When I got engaged to Kev, we didn't have a ring right away. People mistook the GIGANTIC rhinestone ring on my right hand as the engagement ring. It resembles this swirl ring, and for $10 I think I might just head to Layton and try one on.

Treat yourself!
