Delight in Target

I can't decide if I love or hate the Payton Wedge (in the multi-color option). It's like... is it too much or just enough? It looks like a cozy winter sweater so I'm inclined to love it.

Just some Mary Janes

I love this style of shoe because it offers a lot of extra support with just one little strap (or two). And we all know how much I love Nine West.

Cap it off

I've been seeing this everywhere. From other lust-lists to catalogues to fashion blogs galore. I want to go through my closet and make my own from a pair I'm no longer in love with. Just to see...

Do you have a favorite combination? I love the red and gold, but I also like the more subtle version of tone-on-tone.

Blowfish shoooooooooooes

Mikki hosted a couple of giveaways recently and I won a pair of Blowfish shoes. The best part? Blowfish let me choose any pair I wanted. They had awesome customer service, and when my Casita wedge sandals arrived, they included a 15% off coupon. Now, because I just received THREE PAIRS of free shoes, I'm not going to spend anything on yet another pair right now. But it's awesome that Blowfish is doing so much for shoe lovers everywhere. Besides being well-made and comfortable, they're well-priced to boot (haha pun intended).

The wedges look awesome with shorts and I'm actually looking forward to pairing them with tights and a skirt this fall. I was a little nervous that they wouldn't be super-comfy (that's a rule I live by) but even with a zip closure on the back, my heels are blister-free.

Have you picked up any fabulous shoes recently? Are you one of those people who sacrifice comfort for fashion? If so, SHAME ON YOU! You can have both!

Freshly Picked

Is she kidding with these hand-made, metallic pink moccasins?! Really? I've seen babies in blogland wearing these moccasins (usually the brown ones) but until today hadn't visited the Freshly Picked website.

Today I stopped by thanks to A Cup of Jo, who's doing a giveaway with Freshly Picked. I almost peed my pants when I saw these. Aspen already has a darling pair of silver metallic shoes in her wardrobe, so hot pink would be a delightful addition.

Freshly Picked also offers bag, pillows, wallets and other accessories, so check them out (plus she's in Utah, so you're supporting local!).

Delight in Ross

I picked up a sparkly pair of flats from Ross that are so comfortable they were worth the wait.

In the past I never bought flats because they were uncomfortable. I'm so glad that lately I've found three pairs that fit well enough to keep me pain-free. Yea!!

And I love sparkles. How long until Aspen gets a hold of these and swallows a bead?

Grey Dollhouse heels

During November and December, I searched for the perfect grey boot. I read reviews a noted that the pair I loved didn't hold up very well to regular wear. I even went to the mall (gag!!) and tried on boots at Forever Young. They had a great pair, but in the end, I couldn't justify spending $35 on boots. BOOTS. I've become a major tight-wad and sadly put the boots back so I could keep the money in my bank account.

Fast-forward to this week. I'm at ROSS shopping for a baby shower (why shop anywhere else?). After picking up a few items that were on the mama's registry, I went over to shoes just to look. Of course, I ended up trying things on, just for fun. I even promised Aspen I wouldn't buy anything.

That promise was promptly broken when I tried on grey suede heels with a $9 price tag. I decided to cancel my plans to snatch a sandwich from Chik-Fil-A and instead bought myself the grey shoes. I still hope for grey boots someday, but for now I'm thrilled to have my grey heels.

Happy are we!

Warm toesies

What a great shoe for winter! ModCloth has such awesome stuff, even if I can't afford any of it. I saw this shoe on Cardigan Empire and simply had to pass it along. If you buy these, let me know how wonderful they are.

Sharing is caring!

Kev and I browsed some TOMS shoes at The Gateway Mall in April and I was not impressed with the selection... I know I'm a bit of a shoe snob, but seriously, all the styles were ugly. The mission of TOMS shoes though is to provide a pair of shoes to someone in need every time a pair is purchased, which is beautiful. So I've resisted the urge to tell everyone how ugly I think the shoes are. I've only told a few people.

I decided to look at the website to see if I've just overlooked some better styles that exist. I'm really glad I visited the TOMS site because they actually have great wedges that appeal to me much more than the popular canvas flats. Some of the designs on the flats are alright, but in person I really don't like how they're constructed. There just too granola.

This navy striped pair is much more doable for me. It's a summery style and it's a little more sophisticated than the flats, but still casual enough for jeans, bermuda shorts or a sundress. I know granola is the whole point of TOMS, but I'm happy to see that other options are also available for a snobby East coaster like me.

Too much of a good thing?

I can't decide if I like these boots or not. I think I'd be more inclined to like them if the toe wasn't round. It's possible that a pointed toe automatically makes me like a pair of shoes.

As the bump gets bigger, the dresses get shorter.

I had to add two maxi dresses to my wardrobe last week. Many of my other knee-length dresses are not up to the task of accomodating my expanding belly while simultaneously covering my legs.

So I jumped on the band wagon and picked up some inexpensive finds at Ross. I was looking around for more options and while this dress is twice what I paid for either of my Ross dresses, it's still worth a second glance.

And since I'm in Sandy so often to visit my brother, I may as well stop by the Forever21 down town and try some of their maxis. It's nice not worrying about adjusting anything while at work or church. I just layer a maxi over a wonder tee and call it good. It's weird to wear flats instead of heels, but I think they're a must when wearing a maxi.

This DownEast maxi is also a great find, and I'm partial to it in black. I didn't think I'd like maxi dresses (because I'm only about 5'4") but if you get just the right length for your body type you can totally pull off.

Delight in DSW.

Kev and I did a little shopping on Friday night and he said if I was quick I could window shop in DSW.

Nine West is the best. Even if they don't photograph well via my cell phone.

Believe it or not, I don't have a pair of blue heels.

There are now two pairs of shoes I'm dreaming of adding to my collection. 1) something blue and 2) something white. Of course, it's a given that I'm drawn to a pointy toe (to elongate short legs!) and a high heel (because I'm obsessed).

I still dream about the beautiful pair of white Guess heels that I tried on when I visited Maine last August. But at $60 I couldn't bring them home with me. I don't exactly regret it, but I wish I had the energy to locate a similar pair that fits just as well and is made with the same quality. Every pair of Guess heels I own fit like they were made for me.

This is the electric blue I've been envisioning as of late. I can even think of the outfits in my closet that will work with this color. As you can tell, that $10 DSW coupon is burning a hole in my pocket.

Have you ever coveted a certain style of shoe? Even if it seems impractical or too bold for you?

Look no further.

I was just telling myself I'd like to get a pair of sports sneakers that aren't white (even though I love my white sneakers with hot pink laces). I got a $10 off coupon from DSW for Valentine's Day and found these amazing Rocket Dogs on their website.

The number one reason I love Rocket Dog shoes is the comfort. I have never had a pair of their shoes, even sandals, that are uncomfortable after a long day. I love them. I may just have to head to Layton and put my coupon to good use on a V-day gift for myself. Afterall, Kev said that this year he'd actually like to celebrate by doing something other than our taxes.

He's such a romantic.
