Summer suits

I've been wearing the same swimsuit every summer for the last seven years (?!). Maybe longer. And even though I hate hate hate it at this point, I can't bring myself to buy a new one. It's like, I'd rather just stay unhappy with this one since I know all its faults. Why feel disappointment in a new suit after all these years? I was surprised when I browsed Anthro's swimsuits because I often think their clothes are super-ugly. But the suits were cute!

I like this so much I can almost forgive JCrew for featuring tie dye.

What is the deal with tie dye? Dip-dying items were all over August's issue of Martha Stewart Living, and when I browsed the online sale items for J.Crew they actually had tie-dye tops.

Not a fan. I didn't enjoy it at summer camp and I definitely don't enjoy it now.

However, I do love this dress featured in a variety of solid colors:

And if I had the guts to actually go near a new swimsuit this summer, I'd fancy one of these ruched varieties to assist with the tummy camouflage.

I have a weakness.

I finally succumbed to the desire that has grown beyond my control. I just bought a swimsuit for my Pilates buddy. GAP put suits on sale for $12 and I used my $10 coupon to sweeten the deal.

Next summer my little girl is going to be ready to hit the pool with maximun diaper coverage and cute little ears to boot.
