One of the last times Kev and I visited IKEA I picked up a couple of these Mata frog bowls (in blue and green) for pennies in the "As Is" section. I also got one of the sippy cups. It's weird that we'll now have to accumulate child-friendly dishes. I'm not exactly sure where I'm going to store everything in the kitchen once baby's needs go beyond a boob, a spoon and pureed fruits and veggies.

If you're not careful you can blow an entire paycheck on a week's worth of clothing.
I have barely made a dent in baby clothes shopping. I do love the handful of items Kev and I have picked up so far (many from DI) but from time-to-time I daydream about spending an insanely ridiculous amount of money on something that my little Pilates buddy will wear for a few weeks before getting too big and/or staining it beyond recognition.
Yes, my practical sides usually wins. But that won't stop me from marking this sweet jumper as a favorite.
This Jane Austen inspired dress actually makes me think of Anne of Green Gables (my favorite little girl), who is a lover of puffed sleeves.
Lovely, yes? What I'd really lke to do in the future is upcycle one of Kev's old dress shirts into a jumper for our little Pilates buddy. How cute would that be?! Here's to my goal to someday learn to sew.

There's a bluebird on my shoulder.
The baby's room has a big bush outside the window (in my neighbor's yard) that is home to many sweet little songbirds. I love hearing them in the mornings and I've been thinking of putting some bird-like elements in the nursery/library (which is what we hope the room will eventually become).
I've searched Etsy and I want to use my finds there to direct my thrift store shopping in the future. Kev insists that if I'm looking for vintage, I should go right to the source.
This set of "songbirds" from ArtMind's Etsy shop is so cute. I love the personalities of each bird in the set. Slightly whimsical but not too girly.
The crackle finish almost gives them the look of stone, which I really love. And their spindly little legs are just so cute!
My other favorite find is this yellow sparrow with copper legs. If I really wanted to go all out (we're talking $40+ all out) I'd add this in a heart beat. The baby's room was painted in golden yellow tones (thank Kev) before we even thought about making it a baby's room. This sparrow would be such great highlight of the darker tone in the room. It will also complement the gold leaf art I picked up from DI and plan to put in the room as well.

This sparrow and other ceramic gems can be found at organicermanic's Etsy shop. Stop by and fall in love with sweet trinkets (which are lead-free, food safe and microwave/dishwasher safe).

Believe it or not, I don't have a pair of blue heels.
There are now two pairs of shoes I'm dreaming of adding to my collection. 1) something blue and 2) something white. Of course, it's a given that I'm drawn to a pointy toe (to elongate short legs!) and a high heel (because I'm obsessed).
I still dream about the beautiful pair of white Guess heels that I tried on when I visited Maine last August. But at $60 I couldn't bring them home with me. I don't exactly regret it, but I wish I had the energy to locate a similar pair that fits just as well and is made with the same quality. Every pair of Guess heels I own fit like they were made for me.
This is the electric blue I've been envisioning as of late. I can even think of the outfits in my closet that will work with this color. As you can tell, that $10 DSW coupon is burning a hole in my pocket.
Have you ever coveted a certain style of shoe? Even if it seems impractical or too bold for you?

Look no further.
I was just telling myself I'd like to get a pair of sports sneakers that aren't white (even though I love my white sneakers with hot pink laces). I got a $10 off coupon from DSW for Valentine's Day and found these amazing Rocket Dogs on their website.
The number one reason I love Rocket Dog shoes is the comfort. I have never had a pair of their shoes, even sandals, that are uncomfortable after a long day. I love them. I may just have to head to Layton and put my coupon to good use on a V-day gift for myself. Afterall, Kev said that this year he'd actually like to celebrate by doing something other than our taxes.
He's such a romantic.

This one's for my family.
It was tradition in my family to give everyone a copy of "Tommy Boy" when it came time to leave home.
My family LOVES that movie. Kev is also a big fan, but he needs to work on his quotes.
When I showed him this onesie, he told me immediately to buy it. How can I resist when I've been given "permission?"
Until my pilates buddy leaves the nest, this onesie will have to be an acceptable substitute for receiving a copy of the movie.
Take a bow.
The stupid dress I want in the color I love (snow white) is on sale for only $16 online at DownEast Basics.
Why did I tempt myself?

Helping me save face.
I often suffer from very dry skin in the winter months. Moisturizing is a staple in my morning and evening routines.
I recently began using Pond's Dry Skin Cream (picked up at Wal-Mart for less than $5) and I adore it. Keeping my skin clear has recently become a daily battle, but at the very least this moisturizer keeps the flaky spots from appearing on my face and neck.
The smell is very sublte as well. It's fragrance-free and just brings a freshness to my skin. Also, a little dab goes a long way, so I know I'm going to get my money's worth out of it.
If you're in the market for a new moisterizer, then give Pond's a try. I like it more than St. Ives and the other brand that was so non-amazing that I don't even remember it. Let me know if you like it!
