Plan Toys on Gilt Groupe

Kev recently brought home some animal figurines for Aspen, and she mostly loves sticking them in her mouth to suck on them right now.

However, that doesn't keep me from imaging her someday lining them up and playing... jungle... ? with them. Afterall, Paul showed her how last Sunday. Only, I'm not sure the snake flashlight counts as a predator.

Regardless, I loved these dress up animals ($12) the moment I saw them. Maybe they won't know whether they're predator or prey, but at least they'll look good!
The "outfits" are reversible and so fun! Hopefully Aspen wouldn't think it's okay to dress the dog. I mean, we never do that at our house.
Another animal toy that caught my eye is this ($4) fishy. He's on a line, which retracts when your little one holds the wooden rod. I grew up fishing on occassion with my Grandpa, so I love this. Much more simple than those magnetic fishing toys, yes?

I also love this boat set. So cute with the little sailor head! And at only $10, how can you resist? Wooden toys have become a favorite right now. They're so versatile; perfect for stacking, chewing, knocking together, and they make a great sound when they're tossed into Aspen's wooden sorting box.

The Plan Toys sale on Gilt Groupe ends June 11th, so don't miss out!

and the band played on

This piano is pint-sized just for your little one. How sophisticated and cute at the same time.

Of if you're more into traditional children's toys/music, then maybe you'd like the band in a box. Everything your little one needs to get the whole family involved in making music. So cute!

Right now Aspen is content to just hit wooden blocks together, but that's still music to my ears.

voulez-vous voyager a paris?

I KNOW I DO!

I have never been to France. I've had the opportunity, but I was 12 and hated my life and I decided to be a brat and not go with my parents and a group of WSU college students. But, since I hated my life I probably would've found ways to be miserable even while traipsing around the City of Lights and eating croissants. So it's probably a good thing I didn't go and make others miserable too.

Anyway. Let me get to the point.

Jordan from Oh Happy Day is so freakin amazing that SHE'S OFFERING A PAID TRIP TO PARIS FOR TWO. And when I say "offering" I mean she's actually paying for it herself. Like, she loves her readers so much and wants to show that. So, yeah. All the details are on her blog, so get going and enter at Oh Happy Day.

But don't you dare win because I'll call upon my teenage angst and use it to think mean thoughts about you.

wild, wild west

Since Aspen was a wee little lass, the only socks that have stayed on her teensy tiny feet are Trumpette. I was given a lot of clothes, and included in one load of adorable items was a box of Trumpette socks. They are of the extra-cute variety, having colored bottoms and matching bows to resemble little ballet slippers on my baby's sweet feets.

Gilt Groupe is hosting a HUMONGOUS sale on Trumpette merchandise, and you can guarantee it will all stay put on your little one's foot.

Mosey on over to Gilt, sign up for free, and take a look at the unbelievably cute footwear they have on sale until June 8th. I mean, really? COWGIRL socks? Yee-haw.
